Christ Killer is the album that established Coyote as "The Best Flute Player in Utah." Coyote advertised himselt as, "The Best Flute Player in the World," from 1994 to 2009. During this 15 years, every flute player he met, he challenged, and so far, not one person has disagreed with this claim. "I'm disappointed," protests Coyote. "I hoped people would say, "Oh yeah? I know a flute player who..." or some flute player would contact me to challenge me or let their works be known to me--but it didn't happen. There aren't many flute players out there, and none of them are fronting bands like I did, or Ian Anderson of Jethro Tull. So, I've decided to be "The Best Guitarist in the World," instead. Perhaps someone will challenge me now." 15 songs and 8 poems complete the story of Coyote's life in Utah with the Mormons of Salt Lake City, the elders and bishops of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. Want to know what life is like in Utah? Polygamy as told by the childrens of the polygamist families... This album is not recommended for Mormon listeners.
The CHRIST KILLER album shows his LEVEL 2 spiritual growth as Coyote continues his battles but takes a bigger look at the world around him as he tells tales of polygamy, incest, religion, and people's right to be stupid. Recorded on a 4-track like the first album, PEACE OF MIND, the CHRIST KILLER album was enhanced when American Zen's bandmates got another chance to add some backing vocals to the album in our new ProTools recording studio. These LOW VOCALS by American Zen sound like NAUGHTY ANGELS -- so we call them THE NEPHILIM CHOIR.
